In what comes as little surprise to many after his last-minute de facto exit from the TGL golf league, Phil Mickelson and other sources, who chose to remain anonymous, have stated that Jon Rahm will be LIV Golf’s newest member. LIV Golf has spent the last few weeks hyping up “mystery” new free agents via their social media accounts.

Rahm, who has locked up major exemptions for the next handful of years, would be wise, in my opinion, to go ahead and take LIV’s money, especially as we get closer to a deal between the PIF and PGA Tour.

Rahm, who is now a Masters and US Open Champion, as well as a former number 1 golfer on the PGA Tour, does not have much left to prove to himself or anyone else.

The only question mark left hanging in the air here is whether Rahm will be able to secure Ryder Cup status for the Europeans when they take on Team USA in the Big Apple at Bethpage Black in 2025.

This has not been officially confirmed by Rahm’s camp just yet. But with the sources of Phil Mickelson and rumors of Sergio Garcia also boasting about this pickup amongst his inner circles, I think it is safe to say that Rahm is all but delivered.

Stay tuned, as we will update this as more information comes along.
